North London outfit Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a relatively easy group in the Champions League this season after the draw took place earlier this week. Spurs were given easy fixtures at the end of the latest Champions League group stage draw in Istanbul on Thursday evening.
Italian tactician Conte has a very poor record in the Champions League in the colours of Juventus and Chelsea. However, he would be hoping to improve significantly on the record at Tottenham Hotspur. At the time of his appointment as the new Spurs manager, the North Londoners were in disarray, but he managed to improve them drastically thereby leading the club back to Champions League football after a fourth-placed finish. Conte and Spurs saw off North London rivals Arsenal to secure fourth spot and a place in the Champions League this season, while Arsenal were forced to settle for Europa League football after finishing fifth at the end of last season’s Premier League campaign.
England international Harry Kane is the main man for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the start of their Champions League group stage campaign next month. He’s expected to also be the main man for his country at the World Cup 2022 tournament. Kane and England are in Group B alongside Iran, United States of America (USA) and Wales at the World Cup 2022 tournament. Kane is the reigning World Cup Golden Boot winner ahead of the World Cup 2022 tournament in Qatar. He has two goals in three Spurs games this season.
